The first round of Superlap will be held on the 5th of July at Oran Park Raceway on the Grand Prix Circuit - this event will feature some of Australia’s prominent hi-tech speed machines!
Superlap is a time trial against the clock not unlike a qualifying lap in traditional style motor racing. High Performance vehicles are pushed to the limit in timed Sessions with the fastest single lap time the eventual winner. Vehicles are broken into two classes, Open Class and Clubsprint Class with each class then split into 8 separate categories. Open class is designed for race derived vehicles and can run on R spec tyres and far less restrictions on modifications. Clubsprint class is designed for street derived vehicles and must run on S type tyres and must retain full street registration, catalytic converters and interior trim.
The Best Of The Best Shootout
The Best Of The Best Shootout will consist of the 5 fastest cars from each class and put them in a head to head flying lap competition. The winner of each Shootout Class will take home a trophy and prize money. The Shootout will be run as a separate competition and lap times will not be included in the Superlap Competition. All rules & regulations from the Superlap Competition apply to the shootout.
