NRMA members and motorsports fans will be cheering to learn that NRMA is the official sponsor of the final V8 Supercars race ever to be held at Oran Park Raceway.

NRMA Motoring & Services has secured naming rights sponsorship for Round 14 of the V8 Supercars Championship Series to be held at Oran Park Raceway with tickets on sale exclusively for NRMA members at the end of the month.

NRMA President Alan Evans said that after 46 years of racing at Oran Park, motorsports fans would not want to miss the NRMA Motoring & Services Grand Finale.

“The V8 Supercars at Oran Park are an institution which will sadly be missed by many motorsports fans,” Mr Evans said.

“The NRMA is a big supporter of controlled motorsports and is excited to sponsor such a significant event in Australian racing history.

“Many racing legends have tested their wheels at Oran Park including five times Australian Touring Car Champion, Dick Johnson who first raced in 1972 in a Torana.”

NRMA members can purchase tickets and ‘special ticket packages’ for the NRMA Motoring & Services Grand Finale before the general public through NRMA BoxOffice from Monday 28 July to Sunday 10 August 2008.

Mr Evans said NRMA members would love the special ticket packages which included grandstand seating, pit lane walks and convenient carpark entry.

“NRMA’s exclusive pit lane walks will be a thrill for members to experience V8 Supercar preparations like never before,” Mr Evans said.

“The NRMA will continue to support its members’ love for motorsports and also welcomes the use of E85 fuel in next season’s V8 Supercars Championship Series.
