Exciting racing filled the race track today. Mark Skaife was victorious in the first race of the Jim Beam 400. Unfortunately Garth Tander had the steering break on his car which forced him to finish out of the points for the first time this season.
Skaife was able to capitalse from a bad start from team mate Todd Kelly. Rick Kelly came in second with Jamie Whincup in third.
Craig Lowndes managed to finish well up in the points from a poor starting position of 23rd on the grid.
